Age Groups & Competition Levels The WAGS Tournament is the premier all-girls tournament in the United States. Over our 33 year history, the following age groups have been offered.
Competitors
will be placed in flights and groupings Teams
must play in their appropriate age group!
Teams
applying to the WAGS Tournament need not play up to seek the best
competition. The only
exception would be the U-18 teams. Since
the WAGS Tournament does not have a U-18 age group, these teams will be
included in the U-19 age group. ANY
other applications to play up will NOT be considered. U-11 & U12 Teams The WAGS Tournament will be offering Under 11 competition in the 8v8 format ONLY. The WAGS Tournament will be offering Under 12 competition in both 8 v 8 and 11 v 11 formats. The number of teams accepted, the number of flights, and the placement of teams amongst flights will be at the discretion of the tournament committee. Back to TopTeam Participation & Loan Players
Under 11
AND Under 12 8v8 may enter with a maximum of 14 players.
Under 12 (11v11) through Under 16 teams may enter with a maximum of 18
players. Under 17 through Under 19 teams may enter with a maximum of
22 players. State
and National select teams are NOT eligible.
Prior to the start of competition, teams must present proof of
affiliation and permission to travel (if applicable).
Each
team must be registered with a National State Association affiliated with
the USYS/USSF or national equivalent and must present a valid State or
Provincial roster.

FORMS AND Loan
Players (Under 11 through Under 16) A
maximum of 3 loan players per team is allowed, however, a team using
loan players may have no more than 18 players (14 for the 8v8 U-11's AND
U12's) registered for the
tournament. Loan players
will only be allowed with prior approval of the Tournament Committee.
Forms for loan player requests will accompany letter of acceptance.
Questions regarding loan players should be directed to the
appropriate age group coordinator. Loan
Players (Under 17 & Under 19) A
maximum of 3 loan players per team is allowed, however, a team using
loan players may have no more than 22 players registered for the
tournament. Loan players
will only be allowed with prior approval of the Tournament Committee.
Forms for loan player requests will accompany letter of acceptance.
Questions regarding loan players should be directed to the
appropriate age group coordinator. Awards Team
and individual awards will be presented to winners and runners-up, for all
levels of competition, in each age group.
All players will receive a tournament program
and pin commemorating the event.
In addition, the traditional exchange of club pins or patches among
teams is strongly encouraged. College Player Profile Book Upon notification of team
acceptance, the WAGS Tournament will make available to all attending U-16,
U-17 & U-19 teams, an opportunity to submit their team into our
professionally bound and typeset College Player Profile Book.
This book, detailing specific academic and
athletic merits of each player, will be made available to the attending
college coaches. Hotel Accommodations
Confirmation of
reservation will be contingent upon acceptance into the tournament. Application Procedures If
you wish to participate in the 32nd Annual WAGS Memorial
Tournament, please complete and submit the online application and team
information forms. Application
Form and Team Information Form MUST be submitted online.
Applications sent via US Mail, Email or FAX will NOT be
accepted.
Note:
Applications and/or application fees received after July 12,
2008 will automatically place teams AT THE BOTTOM of the waiting list. Official
notification of acceptance and non-acceptance will be posted, on the WAGS
Tournament website, no later than August 19th.
Those teams not accepted will have their entry fee returned.
Should a non-accepted team later be granted entry into the
tournament, the team will be required to resubmit the tournament entry
fee. The
LAST day to withdraw from the WAGS Tournament and receive a refund is
August 6, 2008. Online Game History The WAGS Tournament prides itself on its
reputation as being the premier all-girls tournament in the nation.
In order for the staff and Committee to
continue to further this standard of excellence, it is imperative that
they have accurate and specific information on all teams wishing to
participate. To achieve
the appropriate level of competition, it is imperative that the Game
History be completed, in its entirety.
With everyones cooperation we can ensure that all teams
participating will meet only the finest competitors. SAT's Due
to the number of teams participating annually in the WAGS Tournament, we WILL
NOT consider any scheduling requests due to Scholastic
Aptitude Tests being held during the tournament weekend.
We encourage your players to take advantage of the Spring testing
date.
Any accepted team that does not field the minimum number of players
or forfeits their game will be suspended from play for the remainder of
the tournament and will not be granted acceptance for entry in the future. Other Information Please refer to

the WAGS Tournament website before calling the WAGS Office.
